Sorry but do you mean Internet Explorer history? the default web browser of windows.

I read that windows 7 starter does not have a index.dat file which sounds like what I need to view history.

does windows 7 starter have it stored in another file?

I know that the last browsing session is stored in C:\users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Recovery\ or C:\users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Recovery\High for Admin. A Guy
