    Deleting Old SystemImages

I fired up System Restore to see if the image I created today was there.
Along with today's image, there were three resotre points and FOUR, old
systemimages. I do not see the old images on either external HD I use for storing them.
How can I delete the entries in System Restore ?

    Hello Bej,

The tutorial below can help show you how to delete restore points.
For system images, you could use the tutorial below.
.....or, you could manually delete the dated backup folder for the system image that you want to delete.
    Hope this helps, :)

    Right-click them, then left-click "Delete". :)

System Restore has nothing to do with images. It does not make images.

    To delete restore points:

Control panel/system/system protection and look for the configure button. Poke it. Then poke delete.

But I don't know why you would want to do it. System Restore points should normally be kept.

This is the only place I see images files. The one on top I created today. The four on the bottom I would like to houseclean. There is nothing on either of the two external HDs I use for system images that these files reference.

    Bej,

The ones that say "System Image Restore Point" are the restore points that are created automatically before you created a system image. Those are only restore points and not system images. You may have deleted the system images at some other time, but that would not affect the restore points since these are two separate items.

The tutorial below can help show you how to delete restore points. :)

I read through, and tried, all the 'System Protection Restore Point - Delete' methods including the discussion that followed. It appears one person had the same problem and he/she ended up just not being concerned about the entries. So, I've solved the problem by not checking the 'Show More Restore Points' box.
I appreciate all the responses to this 'problem.'

Were those restore points not listed in CCleaner from OPTION THREE in the tutorial above?

Correct. The only place they show is in the jpg I posted where I have the
'Show More Restore Points' box checked in 'System Restore.'
