Would this backup method be adequate?

I have read many entries regarding backing up in this forum and get more and more confused!
System images creation work fine with win 7.but making backups in addition gives an error message, which I have researched here without clarification.

My situation is that I have clickfree usb which reliably backs up all data files.
In addition, there is a second internal hard drive with lots of space.

If I make regular system images with windows and can restore data with clickfree, is that not all that is required?

    Or is that too simple?

Yes it is all you need but it would be nice to get the data backup problem resolved.

    Thanks, that's helpful,
The error was 0*80070002 which is well covered here, but seemed too intricate for my old mind!

    Hello,
You can give the answer here a go
Error Code 0x080070002 - Microsoft Answers

It is perfectly fine to use an alternate file/folder backup program.
It is also ok to use an alternate imaging program. I use Windows inbuilt imaging plus the very good free Macrium Reflect which has more flexibility.
