Manual restore point growing too fast?

When I start with a vlean slate (that is deletion of all restore points and create 1 manually after virus-scanning). This Restore point grows pretty fast. Starts with 72MB and grows to 140 MB wihtin 2 hours. 1 Gb within two days. What could be the reson?

I have 1 500GBsystem harddrive and 2% reserved for System Restore.

Check how many restore points those really are. The cmd command is vssadmin list shadows

I suspect there are more than 1 restore points. But it does not matter. The shadowstorage works first in, first out.

I use Ccleaner/tool box to check and remove restore points if I so desire. You can pick a choose which one to keep or remove.

    HI There!

When I have a look under "start/system restore" and tick "see all restore points". It lists all rstore points as well. i have only 1 restore point now. And it is growing too fast. What could be the problem "windows indexing service" perhaps?

If you have Windows Up Dates set to automatic you could be getting those updates. Some of those updates could include a restore point. Do you have a automatic back up program? Do you have another drive hooked that has backups installed? I really don't have any idea how one restore point gets bigger once it is set. I think you are worrying to much about nothing. Have a nice cup of coffee, I'm going to and maybe some others will jump in.

A single restore point does not grow. Why don't you look into the shadowstorage as I suggested. Btw: Single restore points can be up to 1GB in size.

Please post a snip of where you are getting the info on restore points.
