How do I get the backups to auto delete older ones?

I have a 2TB drive and I'm doing bi-daily backups to it of my build server I have (Its just a standard Win 7 Home PC).

Problem I'm having is, instead of backing up and if the space is limited deleting the oldest one and keeping the newest its just failing?

And I can't for the life of me see in the back & restore settings to tell it to do this? Is it possible? I hope so or its a bit useless to me

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello Leen, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Unfortunately Windows Backups are not deleted automatically. They are created until you run out of HDD space, then you get a notice to manage your backups to manually delete the ones you do not want to free up HDD space.

    Hope this helps some, :)

Hmmm balls Thanks for the reply though! For some reason I was sure it did it automatically.

I'll write a batch file tomorrow to delete the older backups :/

You're welcome. It would make it easier, but I suppose they did this way to make sure that needed backups do not get deleted automatically by mistake.
