hey should i create an restore point right away before i start scheduling them in ? just to be sure it all works first? thanks

no harm in creating one,
i use this method for creating restore points. i boot daily so its good having a very recent point should anything mess up that day

Creating a Restore Point With Multiple Partitions ... Need Help
I am not very technical. I am a Dell 5521 Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. When I go to make a Restore Point I see 2 partitions: RECOVERY and OS (C:) Recovery is Off and OS C: is On. I know the Recovery partition never changes and I am just making a restore point for the C: drive.
