So my question is, does windows 7 home premium version somehow remembers the motherboard?
If it's an OEM license you're right. Not if it's a RETAIL license.

Everything worked fine until recent.
I backup wireless to a external HD drive which is connected to an airport extreme.
All of a sudden backup started to fail because:
