Macrium Reflect rescue CD to USB flash drive won't boot

I made a rescue CD iso with Macrium Reflect 5.
I used iso2usb to copy the iso to a flash drive
booting with the flash drive doesn't work

I tried all of this with a Linux option and a Windows PE option ( which asked for WAIK which Macrium installed) but all failed to boot.

    What am I doing wrong?

Did you prepare the flashdrive properly?
Need to format USB drives into a fat32 format, as ntfs wont boot on a usb.
Other then that, there are many tutorials about what's needed to turn a usb key into a boot drive.
Some are even on this forum.

Yes the flash drive is FAT32.

Are you saying that there are better ways to copy the files in an iso file onto the flash drive, than using iso2usb?

What error message do you get when booting the usb?
In you system specs I see you have win7 32bits. Did you create the 32bits version of rescue CD?

    Got It.

From a post on this forum, I discovered I was making the following mistakes:

    1) In Macrium Reflect, I was selecting Windows PE instead of Linux for the rescue environment type
    2) I was using ios2usb instead of Yumi to copy the contents of the iso file onto the USB

Thank you symp for pointing me in the right direction

Make a winpe one!! Linux version has less options! For example it can't resize partition on restore
Just create the winpe rescue version and put all files in empty primary partition on usb. Make the partition active and boot from it
