Lenovo Rescue & Recovery 4.5: terrible piece of software

    Hello all,
Just a notice to all users, not to use Lenovo Rescue & Recovery. Everything goes well, until the restore : I have one SSD for system and one micro sata for data. The system drive had two partitions (created by Lenovo at the origin, a system (C) partition and a Lenovo recovery partition). When I tried to restore a previous version of the system drive that I backuped with Lenovo R&R, it restored the system on C: and restored the recovery partition... on D:, erasing all my data ! In addition, the MBR was missing. And cherry on the cake, I could not use the beckup a second time when I tried.
I was particularly disappointed because as the backup went so smoothly, I did not do a data backup before restore, my previous backup being three days old, so I lost three days of work.
I had previous bad experience with Windows backup & restore, the software could not find the resotre, but at least it did not erase data. Now I am trying acronis, did not try restoring yet.
I reinstalled my laptop with an orginal Windows porfessional CD, I could use the licence number on the laptop sticker, I'll never use a Lenovo software again. And i'll never restore without backing up or disconnecting my dta drive.

    Welcome Thierry,

Many people use this for system imaging and restoring, including me. See if this suites your needs.
