Factory Restore not working, error 0xe0ef000d, Image Restore?
Hello people.
I'm new to this so please bear with me.
Okay so I'll give a brief explanation of what's going on.
So a couple of years ago I gave my old computer(HP Pavillion p2 Series /with Windows 7 home) to my younger siblings, because I moved and got a new computer for school. I put a secure Anti-Virus on the computer when I had it and never had a problem with it, but knowing my family they some how got it swarming with Viruses and Spyware...
My first option was to restore it to a date when I still had it, but it would only give me about 5 days ago with checking the "Show more dates" which I have never seen before. Now I know the "basics" of getting a virus off a computer, but if you guys saw this thing..
After that failed I was going to just try and simply delete everything on the computer with a Factory Default Restore. After getting into the System Recovery page, I tried to do the step by step thing it asked. I don't care to much about saving anything on it. (besides Windows of course) And it led to an option with deleting everything and restoring to a image or something? I've never heard of that but then again I'm not experienced with Windows or Computers in general. So I tried that and it was about to start it when an "error 0xe0ef000d" came up, pretty much saying it doesn't have an image to restore to.
With not having any disc's that the computer came with, I am wondering if the option of Restoring to Factory Default is still valid for the computer, or if this thing is pretty much garbage.
I'm not sure if the Error is from Windows or a HP, but any help is much appreciated.
Thanks so much. :)
