Factory Restore not working, error 0xe0ef000d, Image Restore?

    Hello people.

I'm new to this so please bear with me.
Okay so I'll give a brief explanation of what's going on.
So a couple of years ago I gave my old computer(HP Pavillion p2 Series /with Windows 7 home) to my younger siblings, because I moved and got a new computer for school. I put a secure Anti-Virus on the computer when I had it and never had a problem with it, but knowing my family they some how got it swarming with Viruses and Spyware...

My first option was to restore it to a date when I still had it, but it would only give me about 5 days ago with checking the "Show more dates" which I have never seen before. Now I know the "basics" of getting a virus off a computer, but if you guys saw this thing..
After that failed I was going to just try and simply delete everything on the computer with a Factory Default Restore. After getting into the System Recovery page, I tried to do the step by step thing it asked. I don't care to much about saving anything on it. (besides Windows of course) And it led to an option with deleting everything and restoring to a image or something? I've never heard of that but then again I'm not experienced with Windows or Computers in general. So I tried that and it was about to start it when an "error 0xe0ef000d" came up, pretty much saying it doesn't have an image to restore to.

With not having any disc's that the computer came with, I am wondering if the option of Restoring to Factory Default is still valid for the computer, or if this thing is pretty much garbage.

I'm not sure if the Error is from Windows or a HP, but any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks so much. :)

That error means it cannot create a directory or one it is looking for does not exist, sounds like it is having problems writing or reading to the hard drive.

Did you run the extended hard drive tests?

Is it a seagate or western digital disk? How old is pc? Was it shipped with vista or win7?

Do you have a 32bits win7 home premium install DVD? What language?
Can system still boot to win7, or did the factory restore already delete it?

If still be able to boot to win7, post screenshot of diskmanagement

    Thanks for the reply.
Like I said before, I'm not experienced with this kind of stuff, so I'm not sure how or if I can even run a extend hard drive test? When I log into the 1 account it has, as soon as I click something all of these internet tabs start coming up. It's definitely some nasty Viruses.
As for the disk's I can't remember which it came with, but they all are lost.

Computer is 2 or 3 years old. It was shipped with Windows 7.

I don't have the any of the disks that the computer came with, but Windows 7 was already installed onto the Computer.
I'm not sure how to boot to Windows 7, but trying to do anything logged into the computer is pretty much useless, because all these internet tabs start coming up and the whole computer freezes.

Have you tried booting into safe mode and running your anti-virus from there?

Have you tried using Windows Defender Off-line? What is Windows Defender Offline?

Do all that Kaktussoft has suggested first though. Hes very highly respected here and knows what hes talking about.

Another option is to run AV software by booting OUTSIDE of Windows. I believe that Kaspersky and AVG both offer free, downloadable ISO images that you can then burn to a CD. But, you would need to use another PC to do this and you would need blank CDs.

I've done this in the past and when you boot from the CDs, be sure to be connected to your home network because they usually give you the option to download the most current AV definition file, and you should do that.

Post screenshot of diskmanagement with all fields visible. Or can't you do that in the corrupted win7?
