System Restore inquiry...

I am fairly new to Win 7, having been a WinXP user for many, many years and held out till just recently. My basic question is this... When someone that is running Windows 7 Ultimate as an administrator on a rig that has more than one single profile and a System restore point is created, then are the settings and files for the other profiles backed up or restored once the system restore option is used? I suspect it is... but prefer to ask those that have a bit more experience to confirm my suspicions.

Hi pinballone and welcome to Seven Forums. You are correct, System Restore restores all of Windows, Installed Programs and Settings but not user files back to the time the RP was taken.

a thank you...

kado897, Thank you. Appreciate it. I run Macrium Reflect approx. 2x's a month on the rig in Q. My home network is one of having 3 Desktops and a laptop with a dedicated server with upto 5 TB of storage, so I am covered... since if I am unsure of what the wife or kidlets have been working on as in recipes and/or homework assignments, then I do an impromptu copy and paste as a precaution. Just really wanted to clarify this to myself. Again thanks.

Peace, ~PB1
