    Restore Points

    Greetings,
I lose my restore points in a matter of a few days.
I have Panda Anti virus which automatically scan my laptop on a weekly basis,
I thought it might be on account of that.
The question is how I could keep my restore points.
    many thanks

    Hi Kian.

Double check to see how much data your restore points are allowed to take up, as if you have it set very low older restore points will be deleted to make room for the newer days.

Check this by right clicking my computer > Properties > Left pane select system properties > highlight disk with system then configure. You should now see what this picture displays. You will want to increase the size if you'd like to have your restore points stored for a longer period of time.

Restore points seem to be very volatile and have the habit of disappearing for reasons I never understood. I recommend to make your own images. Those you control yourself and nobody can take those away.

Yes, I can image with free Macrium, yet I am curious to learn about it.
499.99 MB is the amount OS considered for restore points, 141MB out of it is consumed. (I have 3 restore points now).
    thanks for the responses.

Those sizes seem a bit small, I just checked and I have 5 restore points using almost 6 GB.

Restore points typically range from 500MB to 1GB in size. Anything a lot smaller would make me suspicious.
