Copying Windows 7 disc to USB

I have a Toshiba Satellite A-215 and I am having issue with the D drive. I wanted to know if I can just drag the contents of the Windows 7 disc to a USB.
I am trying to sell the computer and because I couldn't find my disc to wipe it I just tried to manually delete most things and somehow I think I got something for the D drive. The only other computer I have access to with a disc drive is at work so I don't have permission to install anytime of software.
So would drag and drop work in this situation?

Use this free tool to create a bootable USB from the Windows DVD: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...sbdvd_dwnTool/

I can't use that tool. As I was downloading it I saw that you have to have admin rights and I don't.

How are you selling a computer that you don't have admin rights too? Is the computer yours to sell?

I have admin rights on my computer.
The disc drive is not working on my Toshiba so I can't load in the Windows disc to wipe it and hopefully replace something that I deleted to stop the drive from working. Do that I need to put the contents of my Windows disc onto a USB.
The only computer that I have access to the has a disc drive is my work computer, which I do not have admin rights on.
My question is if I just drag and drop the content from the disc to the USB will it work?

Follow the link Kari gave you. It will make the usb bootable.During the steps it will have you place the Windows ISO on to the usb.
