I just read it again they r all for x17 not x15 I meant to say ISO
So once I have it burnt on a DVDs then I can wipe my computer right out and it will put my sound driver sect back on my computer for me?!
Once you have it burned, you can reinstall Windows.
You will need to activate the installation and that's when you use the Product Key.
I assume that's what you want to do.
That will do the wiping.
Windows should supply the proper drivers, including sound. If it does not, worry about that later, AFTER you get Windows reinstalled.
The full instructions are in post 6 from David. Follow that link.
Good luck.
If you want to save the machine 'as-is'
See: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup
You'll need a second HD to put the backup on since the reinstall will clean up your existing drive.
Just thought I'd mention backup. I'm sure the tutorials mention backing up your system though.
My friend has a Acer laptop with windows visa but wants windows 7 how would he go about doing that 2GB of memory
He has a sticker proof of license certificate of authenticity Microsoft x13-04655
He needs to buy a Windows 7 installation disc, probably from someone like Newegg.com for $100 or $120 or whatever they are charging today.
With only 2 GB of RAM, he should probably install the 32 bit version.
That sticker on his laptop won't help him if it is for Vista, and it probably is if that's what came on the laptop when he bought it.
So he can't uninstall visa and put windows 7 without having to buy it
