    System restore

I have system 7 that has been upgraded from Vista. Is there any way to restore
Back to the time system 7 was installed without loosing system 7.
Some of the repair disc I have seen will take you to the original op system

If you dont' have a System Restore point which goes back far enough, then what you'd need is a backup image stored externally which you can use to reimage to C.

What I would do is follow the steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then after its set up and running best Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup so that if Win7 becomes irreparable you can boot the Win7 DVD or Repair CD to do a System Image Recovery

This is way above my pay grade, I had system 7 upgraded over Vista and think
if I do a factory clean it will go back to Vista. I had the 7 installed by a computer
repair shop and guess I will go back to him and have it reinstalled.
Thanks for you help. only wish I was more savvy.

This is a consumer site which offers advice to consumers. Most of our tutorials are written for the average consumer, although tech enthusiasts may get on better with them. So there's nothing that you cannot do yourself if you want to learn. We will always be here to back you up. We have had no failed installs I know of in tens of thousands we've helped with - quite the opposite.

OK thank you for the lecture on your mission, I guess I don't fit your standard of an average consumer
I am a senior citizens on a fixed income and last year I upgraded to system 7, I don't have a system 7
to reinstall, and I don't have the programs that clean and back up that you recommend that is why
my question was (is there a way to restore back to when system 7 was installed?) I was hoping that
someone had found a way to recover deleted system restore points. I know how to reinstall 7.
I don't want to start a argument so please do not reply to this unless you can tell me how to go to
a restore point that has been deleted
