Drive Matching for Mirroring [RAID 1] in Ultimate x64

gang I'm thinking of just using one of my win7 ultimate licenses for a protected server on my LAN.
I have a very fast 640gb barracuda drive from a few years back I want to use and thought I would try to match it up with one off ebay or somewhere if i can. my question is whether the exact sub-model must match? there were several iterations of these that have the same primary ID but different sub-models and I'm not real sure of the distinction other than channel... maybe firmware though.
    will it work ok?

    Hi,

Exact model matches are not important. Its more important to use disks of equal capacity and speed to get the most optimal performance from a RAID1 array.
