Need to reformat partitions for extra system space

I made the mistake of only giving myself 64gb of space on my system files partition and need to make it bigger.

Can I do this by simply making a system image with all my partitions (1 HDD) included, reformat and then load everything back where it was and have a different amount of space on each?

I think you can do that with Start>type "Computer Management" and select it. Then expand "Storage" and Click Disk Management. You should be able to adjust the sizes there without reformatting.

Or you could look through the instructions for resizing / extending a partition using the free MiniTool Partition Wizard. I like Partition Wizard better than disk management.

    Partition Wizard - resize partition

    Partition Wizard - extend partition

At one time I did try this but I guess I wasn't doing it right. Worked! Thank you

Edit - Just had to use the "extend" button and take space from the other partition
