Question about Windows 7 Backup.
I am getting another hard drive for windows backup to backup folders important to me, such as college work.
When the backup is done, does the windows search function detect these files on the other drive? For example, I could have a file named "College paper". I usually hit the bottom left button and type this name in the search and windows shows it. I do not want two files to show, the regular one on my main drive and the backed up one on the other drive. Does windows show both the regular file and backed up file? Is so, could I stop windows from showing both? |

Hello Shinryus,
Nope. The files in a Windows Backup will not show up search results by default. ![]() |

Now my external drive is full. When I now delete... |

Question on Windows 7 backup So after my last PC got fried by a power surge I've been backing up my HDD (lost a HDD from it) with just the default W7 utility. I have little personal experience with B&R in Windows so I set it to do an image and file backup & selected the file locations I wanted backed up. After reading... |

Windows Backup Question. I was doing some research and it seems like the backup built into Windows 7 uses something similar to a disc image, I was wondering if I had a dual boot system using the same disk (different partitions) with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 if it would make a functioning backup of both or just 7? ... |
