Windows 7: Cannot recover backup

Cannot recover backup

As I began a System Restore, I backed up all my files when I was reminded to by the software. It took 23 DVD's! I'm back up and running, but when I try to recover my files, RECOVER simply stops on Disk 18.

So I have attached pictures. Before Crash shows the recovery software working as it should. Crash Image 1 suddenly appears, followed moments later by Crash Image 2. The software stops and disappears (After Crash).

Have I lost 23 DVD's worth of data?

What pictures? You didn't attach them.

It sounds like one of the DVD's didn't burn properly, or is damaged. Invest in a USB2 external hard drive to back up information too - its cheap, faster and more reliable.
