Is there any other ways to backup windows registry?
Can you tell me how one can backup registry not using standart export method?
which is described here
There are a few programs that will do it. It begs the question why you'd want a different method? :)
I'm not sure this doesn't just export though.

This uses the Volume Shadow Copy Service

The regedit > export feature is the generally accepted way to backup the registry. Creating a system restore point (Option One, Method One, Step 1 in the link you provided) will also backup the registry. Or you could check out various third party registry cleaners to see if they offer a backup feature.

What are you trying to accomplish that the tutorial you linked to isn't providing?
EDIT: I see A Guy beat me to it. He always did type faster than me. :)
