Status: 0xc0000428 Windows cannot verify, Restore Failure

In an attempt to restore my computer to factory settings I ran my gateway recovery manager, selected the option to restore new (save no data etc), and when the restart happens I get the following information:
Due to recent change in hardware etc etc etc. Windows cannot restore,
    file is \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe
    Status: 0xc0000428
Windows cannot verify digital Signature of this File

I've been looking around the internet for options prior to posting here, and it seems that there is a lot of talk of going into command prompt etc etc. But I wanted to receive expert advice on a possible solution the problem first.
All of this being said, I do not currently have access to my original windows 7 OS CD (the computer came with it installed already) and do not have a CD of any kind for restarts/reboots of the OS

Furthermore, I am not looking to save any information that I have, I just want a fresh restart/reboot on the computer, but I cannot afford to lose my current OS (Windows 7 home premium)
Please and thank you with any replies :)

When running a registry scan (No, I didn't change registry or attempt any non-built in reg fixes recently) it detected errors, and the number seems to be going up, not sure how natural that is either. On a different post I had, the helper said that he/she suspected a virus or some type of malicious activity though. When running a fully updated malware bytes/kapersky pure 3.0 it came up clean, and from your website I also ran a virus/rootkit/etc scan that you offered and it also came up clean. I'm beginning to worry a little though, because its not just effecting my games, internet explore and such is all working slower and occasionally on startup/throughout using the computer some programs randomly stop working and occasionally windows explorer itself stops working and I have to wait for it to respond to continue usage of my console.
