Successful Windows 7 System Restore but cannot log in

Hello Folks,

Just replaced a HD and was able to restore a very old (2011) Windows 7 image from an external hard drive but have not been successful logging in. The login window only presents 'other user' - I was expecting it to display my user name. I have tried many old passwords without success. A few questions:
1) Is the 'Other User' prompt an indication the system image was captured before my account was created?
2) Assuming the restored image knows of my account, is there a way to reset the PW without a PW reset disk?

Thanks in advance,

NET USER is showing just two users:
Administrator & Guest

Thoughts on why the system image does not contain my user account? This was originally imaged by the IT group at my college. It seems highly unlikely that I would have created a backup on my external HD before creating the user account.

Forced full backups after a successful restore
Every single time I have to restore my installation for whatever reason, the backup/restore utility always creates a new, full data files/image backup. As one can imagine, this gets very large after a while and I would prefer it to continue backing up incrementally. Is there any way of informing...

Successful System backup
Hi All, I just successfully did my first system image using Windows Back up & Restore, using option 1 that's the "recommended" backup. I would also like to back up my data etc. as well, which I imagine is the second option of making a back up. Can I do a second back up on my external drive...
