Long test: I just want to know what's wrong with your disk. Long seek time, many read errors, many write errors? But short test told us already "too many bad sectors".

Long test is running now. It's already going for 20 mins. The blue sectors went to the end very early and now it seems to be syuckthere. there is continuous activity in the disk light.
I am running windows 7 64bit. I have previously upgraded to win8 and downgraded back to win7 using windows own upgrade software.
Had problems with my computer and attempted to rebuild the bcd using a repair disc and cmd, however now the computer loads up win8 repair console and does not boot...

I'm trying to setup Backup for this Wi-Fi laptop. When I click on Setup Backup the Backup Destination shows only a DVD RW drive. I want to use a WD MyBook 3.0 external hard drive USB wired to a Win XP desktop and which displays as a Drive on that PC.
