You worry too much. Just install the Paragon program, put the SSD into an external USB attached enclosure (or install it internally)* and start the Pargon program. You will see, there is little you can do wrong. It will discover your OS and your SSD automatically.

Don't read too much of their documentation. It will just confuse you. You don't need a guide for getting a shopping cart at the supermarket. It's about as easy as that.

*) I don't remember whether you have a laptop or desktop.

    wolfgang.
Well the weekend has gone and here we are again.I thought that I would give you an update on the project.
Had delivery of the SSD drive today,But the adaptor has not yet come so cannot fit into the tower yet.
While awaiting for this adaptor can I still carry on and copy the C drive over to the new SSD I have a HDD hub that I can connect the SSD drive to the pc via USB connection,If so will the existing contents of the C drive will still remain on C as well as the SSD.
So when the adaptor arrives I then can fit the SSD into the drive bay of the C drive.
    Thank You.

Yes, of course. The system is only being copied. Remind me how you plan to transfer the OS.

And why did you get an adaptor. I have a whole box of them that came with the SSDs. I never use them. Velcro dots are a lot easier.

Well I did the job,It didn't take long to do the process.
Now regarding the SSD when I connect to the pc via should it show up as a drive when I select computer.
If if it does cant see nothing here or should I be looking somewhere else.I haven't removed the existing C drive yet.
Now on the removing of the old C drive what do I do when connecting the new SSD,Do I have to set something up in the bios?
    Thanks.
