    Restore points deleted after blue screen of death.


    After i had a blue screen of death, all my system restore points were deleted and i want to know if there is the blue screen of death really deleted my restore points or it were something else.

    A BSOD can be caused for many reasons. At least one, hard drive corruption, could cause the restore points to vanish. So the answer is yes.

    Restore points are very volatile. You cannot really depend on them. It is better to make images with a good imaging program - but not with Windows imaging. I use this one: Imaging with free Macrium

    i forgot to tell that i had 10gb left on my hd when the blue screen of death happened. Is there any way to recover a restore point?

    Check whether there are any restore points on it. The command that will list all restore points on all drives is:

    vssadmin list shadowstorage
