Personally if there is a smidge of doubt that you can or cannot fix this machine with the plethora of help available here then I would suggest finding a "friend" or seeking the help of a professional. Not all shops are out to get you and perhaps a good one can have you fixed up in a jiffy. I know I own one of those said shops. I volunteer here to help people that cannot afford a shop or want to learn how to fix and maintain their pc's themselves.

It sounds like all involved are getting frustrated. The advice offered here is geared toward everyone and may at times sound overly technical but if the steps outlined are followed then there is no real need to delve into the jargon side so much unless your wanting to learn.

I am not here to offer anything but advise so please don't think I am trying to be annoying. Just looking at this from fresh eyes. a clean install should have happened days ago if not sooner. Just my humble opinion.
    Good day.

I think Tony can fix it but has got so many suggestions from different helpers it's a bit daunting.

A time out for digesting and trying things is fine Tony.

If you'd like I'll walk you through the actual install on Skype or phone up to installing your wireless driver and Teamviewer we'll store in your backup. Then I'll connect and finish your install, perfectly optimized while you watch and participate as you choose.

There is never a charge for this because frankly it is priceless, benefitting from all that's been learned here since before Win7 was even released. I also like the "hands on" practice so offer this once or twice a month.
