Relocating hard drive

Hey guys, I have a question, let's say that someone moved my hard drive and installed in to another computer, then he put it back to my computer, can I tell the difference in my computer now?

One more question, if the above scenario were to happen, would my system restore points (before the events) still remain?

Dual Boot: Windows 8.1 & Server 2012r2 VMs: Kali Linux, Backbox, Matriux, Windows 8.1

Welcome to SevenForums MR. Moustache.

Its technically possible but you system has to be almost identical. If you simply want to use it as another hard drive and not a boot drive, it should work fine.

Hi all, I've built another new PC, but for the first time I've installed a SSD to hold Win7 while all my data (in theory) will be held on my data drive (2 TB Hard Disk). I've redirected most of my user folders just fine, "My Documents", My Music, Downloads etc. however when I installed my...

Relocating your user account to another drive
