i won't go into the whole scenario herebut i'm working from a .img file made of a 3tb disk
i've tried a few utilities such as easeus and mini tool, which can analyse my disks for lost partitions etc
but don't have an option to analyse images
specifically i want to try repairing the file structure rather than sort for individual files

Now, concerning the image, .img, file. Do you remember what utility or program created the IMG file? If not, have you already googled for programs and utilities that can create, read from, restore said IMG file?
