    backup before installing anti-virus

hi , is it a good idea to do a backup of hard drive before installing anti-virus software? that way if the anti-virus programs stuffs up you can go back and start from there. because i've heard that it is hard to uninstall anti-virus from the system. once it is in there. thanks

    Hello soulfood,

You could do that or create a restore point before doing so.

What AV are you installing? Most have a separate uninstaller tool that you could use to remove them if they don't uninstall normally? :)

simple question again, you don't have to be online to do a restore point do you?
