    Black login screen

I have a HP pc and the operation system is Windows 7.

My problem is when I open the computer it make the process to open it shows the login icon for windows with the colours of windows. After that it has a black screen.

I can log in to the safe mode options and there everything works perfect. The windows open.

I try to use the recovery cd in order to go back my system to the first version of the factory as it was when I bought it. However nothing worked again. It opens but it shows black screen. I have to refer also that now I can not access the safe mode because it needs a configuration after recovery and it can make it in the normal operation

Any suggestion what could be and a possible solution?

I think if I make a format I will have again the same results.

Any help will more than valiable for me.

Hello and welcome focan mate before you do that do these in safe mode

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < use the /f option in Option 2 ifnecessary
If these do not work try a backward system restore point.

I tried everything but nothing worked.

After the recovery process now I don't have access also to safe mode options because it needs to be in normal mode in order the system to fulfill the recovery process.

Not sure if this will help, but...

I was getting a black screen following login to Windows 7 (64-bit). No cursor, but could hear that the hard drive was running. Have replaced a video card, changed settings, and other things with no success. However, I did discover today that this is only happening when the active Window is maximized. (I had gone into safe mode (where I'll see get the black screen), but was typing in the cmd window and noticed the black screen wasn't appearing). As far as I can tell it doesn't happen as long as I don't completely maximize the application windows.

Still not sure what the fix is (am trying different video drivers) -- saw a few things about VGA settings that haven't worked for me so far -- but at least if this is your problem it'll allow you to see what you're doing so you can look up a fix.

    Good luck. Monica

As I have a fair gut feeling this might be malware there some bootable options but Iwe shall wait for the specs.
