How can I reset "default" boot mode to normal startup
So while in Win7 OS, I went to msconfig/StartUp/selected "Safe Mode - Minimal" checkbox so that the default startup is in Safe Mode. Now when I boot and run through the safe mode initiate, I get stuck on a black screen even though there's HDD activity. If I try to select any of the other options (Safe Mode, SM Network, SM CMD), the script lines get stuck at clientpnp.sys or something (maybe a faulty HDD). Either way, how can I reset default boot to start windows TRULY "normally" because even if I select "Start Windows Normally", it's set to think Safe Mode - Minimal is normal and I get hung up. Essentially I've bricked myself out of the normal OS since I get stuck loading any of the safe mode options.
I've loaded from the install CD and none of the three restore instances load successfully, so that's fun. I've tried Startup Repair ~6 times with no luck. I've opened CMD from the CD and run "bootrec /fixmbr" and "bootsect /nt60 all" with no help either. Again if I select "Start Windows Normally", it still tries to boot in Safe Mode - Minimal and hangs up. How can I reset the default boot?!
EDIT: Also, I have installed another instance of Win7 on a 3rd HDD just so I have an OS to use in the meantime.
