    Hi

You can try to manually extract the files by following instructions on this tutorial : Backup - Manually Extract Files from in Vista & Windows 7

From the screenshot I noticed the user folder(JRJWDA~1) seems to be shown with 8.3/SFN format. Or perhaps that was because it had to restore to a different folder, as mentioned in the top of the screenshot.

I don't know, but maybe it's related to this: Windows 7 File Recovery Error 0x80070131 - restore fails on filenames - Microsoft Community

I don't enough about this to recommend it, but maybe someone else does? How to disable 8.3 file name creation on NTFS partitions

May be the restore operation is trying to restore your files to the previous user profile. Since you re-installed OS, your old profile no longer exists so path references in the backup might became invalid.

So you don't even give a try to Backup - Manually Extract Files from in Vista & Windows 7 yet ?.

I want to get the files in their original folders otherwise I will likely have 60,000 files to search through?
