    Cut/Pasted folder is empty

I cut/pasted a folder containing movies from my C drive to my D drive and to my surprise the folder on my D drive is empty! I tried looking for it in my C drive but it was not their either. This has been happening for quite some time now. It doesn't happen for files, only for folders. I have a HP laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with a Core i3 processor, NVidia Gfx card, 4 GB RAM and 320 GB HDD. Please help.

Welcome to Seven Forums rajtilak. Are you indeed CUT and pasting? This will result in the files being deleted from the original source. If you COPY and paste, the files will still remain on the originating source, and (normally) be pasted on the new destination. There was sufficient space on the D drive for the folder? A Guy
