System Image from SSD and HDD to new HDD only-SOLVED

My system is getting older and I want to replace the drives before they fail ... I want to use system image to restore my system to a single new hdd ... I have a 60 gb SSD(C:) and 1 TB hdd (E:, F:, G:) ... when I make system image it images C: drive but also F: drive which has several programs and some date ... if I remove both my SSD and hdd ... and install the new hdd ... and restore image from an external hdd ... what will happen to the new hdd ... will it just install the c: stuff on a partition ... and the F: stuff on a second partition? I have not been able to find any discussions about this situation ... thanks

I don't get enough benefit from the SSD to buy another one ... will be perfectly happy with a single hdd

Hello and welcome jfinet mate a possibility would be to partition the new drive clone the small SSD to a small partition and image the data drive to the larger partition.

Macrium is the program I use all the time for cloning and imaging you can get the download here on this tutorial Imaging with free Macrium

Am not real sure how this would work but this might help Macrium Reflect - Restore With WinRE - YouTube
