System Restore error.

    System Restore error.


    Hi when i try to restore with system restore I get this error I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.





    system Restore failed to extract the original copy of the directory from the restore point.

    That is a common problem. Looks like the restore point is corrupted. Try another restore point.

    In the future make images. Those you control yourself. Imaging with free Macrium

    I have 5 points and I tried them all and none of them work I'm trying to restore to fix run time 216 error for skype.

    Can't find anything from restore points also I don't know if this helps but I have these errors I want to fix they come up on startup and it does not allow me to use them programs System Restore error.-broke.png

    You may want to run a Startup Repair

    I am at the end of my wits. There is obviously corruption in your system. If startup/repair cannot fix it, that's the end of the line for this installation.

    Before venturing into a reinstall, I do recommend you let this thread age a bit. Maybe somebody else has a better idea.
