migrating to new SDD, says C: has errors, can't create image file

while creating a backup and image file for migrating to my new SDD drive, I came across a problem.

report says multiple files could not be backed up - they are "corrupt" - most of these files seem to be my USER folders and files within.
    this is the REPORT:

Windows Backup skipped C:\ because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Documents because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Public\Documents because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Music because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Public\Music because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Pictures because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Public\Pictures because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Videos because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Public\Videos because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\AppData\Roaming because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\AppData\Local because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\AppData\LocalLow because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Contacts because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Desktop because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Downloads because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Favorites because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Links because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Saved Games because is it on corrupted drive C:\.
Windows Backup skipped C:\Users\Adam\Searches because is it on corrupted drive C:\.

I can not fix errors, as the "schedule fix on restart" is not working, I restart and there is no error fixing

ALSO command prompt wont allow me to select C: as my dir...its stuck in my USER folder

anyone know why this is happening?

Have you run a virus scan and hard drive diagnostic? Try to isolate the issue by first making sure the drive does not have errors. You might run a chkdsk to ensure Windows is all in order.
Are you migrating because of drive issues?

Run a chkdsk /r in cmd.

Shut down and then power-on. It should run the chkdsk if it is scheduled.
