    Clonezilla-live

I need a disaster recovery backup and Clonezilla-live does this.
BUT it has stopped working with Versions 2.2.4-12-i686-pae.iso
    and 2.3.1-18-i686-pae.iso.
It is giving errors about mismatched GPT and MBR partition: /dev/sda
    My computer is using MBR.

My old computer died and I have had one built using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.
It has a Gigabyte MB in it.

As far as I can tell the "Backup and Restore" in the Control Panel would not
help if a HD failed. Am I wrong?? Other programs out there leave you
hanging if a hard drive fails.

    Sure could use some advice.....

Since your /dev/sda has mismatched GPT and MBR partition, and you mention you are sure your disk is only using MBR, you should wipe the GPT table. It's a risk, though.
Backup important data before you continue the following steps. All the data on the disk my be gone if something goes wrong. Therefore be careful.
    1. Boot Clonezilla live
    2. Enter command line prompt
    3. sudo -i
    4. sgdisk -z /dev/sda
(Make sure /dev/sda is the disk containing mismatched GPT and MBR partition.)
    5. reboot.
    Good luck.
    Steven.

I am afraid to try it as I have no Disaster backup.
The line that is bothering me is: "Make sure /dev/sda is the disk containing
    mismatched GPT and MBR partition"

I Don't Know How To Do This....
I was testing Windows 10 and Windows 7 on two separate HDs.
The computer had a hissie. So I had to disconnect the Windows
10 HD to get anything to work.
    Maybe Windows 10 installed/changed the boot partition/ dev/sda ???

The computer has a Gigabyte MB in it, if that makes any difference?.
