backup and restore win 7 N on a UEFI System

Okay I am playing around with a Windows 7 Home Premium N Install and trying to figure out how to backup my system after fresh install and all drivers loaded and all updates done. I started with a clean install on a Asus MB with I7 3770 cpu at 3.4 GHz . Useing a sata 3Ghz 7200rpm 80 gig HD. Bios is set to UEFI with compatability mode and Particion is GPT and controller AHCI. All is well and I only had to install a few drivers (LAN and SM bus, and usb3, and xhost usb3 from Asus). Choose not to install the Intell Management engine interface driver. or any kind of chipset utillity. After doing service pack 1 and all updates and the intell HD4000 graphics driver all is well. Hard drive and USB3 speeds are pretty good so far very stable. No errors or warnings in event log at last boot. Bootup is reasonable fast. So now I want to know if I can do a system image to be able to restore to this very nice state insteed on having to go thru all the drivers and updates again. Can I use the windows 7 Backup utillitie to make a sys image onto an external HD with a MBR particion. Can I do a restore to the GPT system Hard drive with the efi partition plus the System reserved partition plus the OS partition. I also made the restore disk useing the windows 7 Backup utillitie. If all goes well I will d0 this on my Sata 6 Gig 10,000 rpm HD and finaly be happy with my computer. Win 7 has been good to me so far. Or is there another type of backup software that might do what I want. Thanks fellow Win 7 aficianados...

I have used and have been saved by Macrium. Most of the members, here, use it and are very satisfied. I feel it is much better than the built in back up of Seven
