    Getting stuff off Seagate

Headaches, headaches. I did a fresh install and now I have no pictures. Is there any way to restore backup files in bulk? Do I have to peek at each one, see what's there and put it back on my machine?

    Hello noclueblue,

What did you use to back up the files?

If you used Windows Backup, then you could select to restore a folder that contains all the images.

Seagate Expansion and a Seagate Backup Plus which is full. And I keep getting a message that this can perform faster w/ a USB 2.0 port or somesuch.

Just looked on Amazon for a USB 2.0 port but I don't know what I was looking at. What's the dohickey I need to run my hardware (Seagate) faster?

I'm out of my league anymore.

I'm not having much luck here. Whatever I do I'm stymied. Windows encounters a problem. Well I have a problems with Windows. Frickin' MS. They own the world.

A USB 2.0 port is what you plug your Keyboard and Mouse into, on the back of your computer, or the front panel. It may have said USB 3.0 is faster, because it is. They will look like a USB 2.0 port, but inside will be blue. Maybe I don't understand exactly what you need, but however you got the files on the Seagate, you can restore them the same way.

http://www.seagate.com/contacts/..........Click on Show Hidden Icons and customize . You can select do not show under notifications and the USB message will go away. I have Seagate Backup Plus also and this cured the notification issue. I called Seagate for a similar problem and they were very helpful.
