Macrium Reflect Free making multiple images?

    Macrium Reflect Free making multiple images?


    Hi. I have never seen this before. I don't understand why this is happening or how to correct it. Can someone help me please? (see attached pic)

    Did you specifically tell Macrium to make images of both Recovery partition and C partition in an earlier step?

    Yes I did. I always do. But this is the first time I have ever had more than *one* file created by Macrium.

    It's creating 4GB files for some reason.
    Check your Advanced Settings / File Size settings.

    It is set to automatic, just like your picture. I am saving to a folder on a 2TB external drive.

    Per David's post 4, if it's FAT32, that would explain the 4 GB chunks.

    In which case, you reformat the external as NTFS and re-image.

    That was it! Why in the heck would a 2TB new Hitachi external hard drive be formatted in FAT32? UGH!

    I'm wondering if it really is a new drive. I've never bought a new drive that was preformatted.
