Tricky one that. I take it you used the unsupported ISO GRUB option. I think the difference between that and the USB stick that does work is that the ISO is extracted into the root of the USB and booted directly. Sometimes it needs to be like that to work. If you are not installing a Windows installer on the YUMI stick you can sometimes get a WINPE to work by installing it as a Windows 7 installer. YUMI might complain that there is not enough room unless you do this as the first install on the stick. Early builds of Windows Defender Offline had to be loaded that way.

Because OP showed me a picture of Acronis asking to be purchased and registered, I PM'd the following:
In my experience with Acronis, most if not all Acronis products:
-- if downloaded, are TRIAL versions, meaning they will only do very limited stuff
-- TRIAL versions must be paid for before such can become fully operational versions
I do not know what comes with Seagate, Western Digital, and other hard-drives utilities. If those utilities include any type of Acronis -- I have never used them, I do not know how they work. [end of the earlier PM]

Now, after I was able to reach and read this thread -- I don't have an answer. I'll follow and learn from this thread. Quick question for OP: where is this particular acronis.iso from? Perhaps, I can download and test.

I wonder if the iso/usb has to be created / burned with the registered version so that it gets activated.
