System Restore - very old entries.

    Hi Guys
one of my Win 7 PC's (Still operates perfectly) shows a number of very old entries in the system restore list.

These are accompanied by the usual list of recent entries which do disappear when I elect to delete all entries except the most recent one. The older entries remain in the list regardless of the delete all except the last entry function.
This is not a problem - just annoying and I would love to find out how erase these entries. All ideas welcomed.
I would estimate that the date of the offending entries was at the time of the O/S installation

Try disable system restore, restart and enable again. Just guessing here :)

Have you moved Restore Points to another partition or drive??

Good Idea GokAh - interestingly the program did not list any of the 'old files'

But then prompted by Layback Bears later input, he may well have a point here:). The above program (I think from memory) listed the backups contained in the C directory. HOWEVER -
There may well be backups of the original install on the d drive or e drive disks. I will check this out when I can get to the computer concerned tomorrow.
Thanks guys for your interests and posts.

Another good idea - but unfortunately not the answer!
I will keep investigating, but many thanks for your time and help so far
    regards
