System restore on Win 7 home premium

Here we go again you'll say and rightly so, but I cannot find in search EXACTLY what I am experiencing here.

I had the usual "restore is turned off", and with help here have finally got system to acknowledge that system protection is tuned on for C:/ (system) and Recovery. However, and there seems always to be an however, when I attempt to restore I get the "system restore is turned OFF"

I rebooted, but to no avail. So with the protection settings on for C;/(system) and the recovery partition, why wont the restore function work!

Please help this poor old Newbie.

    With thanks.

I don't know how you solve your first problem. But you cannot restore when there's no restore point or recovery image. So you cannot do recovery/restore though you turned on system protection.

First things first. Read through this tutorial by Brink and make sure your settings and methods are correct.

System Protection - Turn On or Off

If things work properly at this time you and or your system should create Restore Points you can use later.

At the bottom of the tutorial their is a mass of information and other tutorial on Restore Points if needed.

    Related Tutorials they are called.
