Windows won't boot after resize Windows partition

Hey SWRT,

Please follow these steps:

1. Boot from Windows 7 CD
2. Select 'Repair My Computer'
3. Press 'Start-Up Repair'
4. Let it run, when it completes Restart the PC
5. Boot back into the Windows 7 CD
6. Select 'Repair My Computer'
7. Press 'Command Line'
8. Enter the following commands, after each you must press ENTER:

• bootrec.exe /FixMBR
• bootrec.exe /FixBoot
• bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

After these commands have run, close the command line and restart the computer.

Let me know what happens.

This is not a good scenario. Partition Wizard moves the files around on the disk when you extend a partition and if it gets disrupted in the middle of the operation, you get an instable state. You obviously did not make an image of the SSD before that operation. I always recommend to make an image first because I learned my lesson the hard way in a similar situation like yours.

I suggest you save your data with a live Linux disc or with this little tool that I made myself. Then you can reinstall the system.

When following the steps mentioned above i wasn't paying attention after restarting and then partition wizard suddenly continued and completed the process. Now everything is working fine. I don't understand why partition wizard didn't continue after the first restart but instead it made my os fail on booting. I have done a sfc scan just to be sure and it seems my os isn't damaged.
