    Shadow Copy


    Hi New to this forum.
    For the first 3 years I had no probs using Windows Backup. The last 2 years I constantly get the message, "A shadow copy could not be created due to insufficent storage space. I set the backup to go to an external hard drive WD elements drive 1 terabyte size. All system services are working properly. I've looked at the system vol partition and have 37.1 mg out of 100mg available. The error message I keep getting is 08X81000019. Also tells me to check the VSS logs and SPP application event logs. I'm somewhat of a novice about this stuff.
    Anyone have any suggestions to help, would appreciate very much if I could get this system working again

    Hello and welcome.

    It is a well known fact that Windows Backup is a little flaky.
    All or most people here will advise you to use Macrium Reflect free as your OS Image maker.
    Please wait for some useful knowledge to arrive in regards to repairing windows backup failure.

I did not download or install anything, but i notice that the storage space reduces itself by afew GB. Is this causes by shadow copy? Is there anyway to get back those space? I wonder is there any tutorial to reduce shadow copy storage like in Vista?

Every time i try to back up it comes up with this error 0x81000019 This is becoming a pain ..I got to say that i've tried all the helps people have posted with no luck some help please... :mad:
