How To Make a Recovery Disc from ISO File

    Hi

My pc is really old and the Recovery in volume D is corrupted. I've downloaded an exact OS from Digital River & saved it on my pc.

I burned the ISO file to a disc. I tested it to make sure it works and it works fine but it is a Windows 7 install disc.

So I was hoping to be able to make a separate recovery disc from that ISO file on my computer. Is this possible and if so how do I do it?
I've done a Google search but was unable to find the answer or any instructions

It seems that a factory recovery is not available to you.
HP seemed to be good at providing clean install DVDs at a reasonable cost. You could give that a go. If you have a clean install ISO/DVD for the current OS license (eg Home premium) AND a valid COA for activation then you should be ok. Have a look at this tutorial
Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

I'd contact HP first to see if they can provide you the re-installation disks you prefer.

Ok thanks but my question was - Is it possible to make a Recovery disc from an ISO file?

I don't want a re-installation disk. I already have one. As I said above. I made an installation disc from the ISO file I downloaded from Digital River.

If I find a solution I will post it here but in the meantime if anyone else knows the answer please let me know

I've tried to explain that if you mean by the HP recovery a disk to produce a factory restore, then if your current is damaged you can't make one from a general clean install ISO. You need to go to HP and see if you can buy one. Again, a clean install is a better option. HP used to have an undesirable partitioning scheme allowing just one user primary partition.
