Dynamic and basic partition on one physical disk - is this possible?

Hello, I'd like to know whether it is possible to have both dynamic and basic partitions on one physical drive - and if yes, could you tell me how to do it? I tried both searching and doing it myself, but I can't figure out an answer that I'm 100% sure of. Thanks!

I doubt it. I think dynamic refers to the entire disk and each partition on a dynamic disk is simply a "dynamic volume".

Why would you think you might need dynamic disks? Or are you just curious and have no intent to use them?

I was mostly just curious because we learned a bit about this in school, but I wanted to know more. Thanks for clarification.
