Macrium 6 Rescue Media compatibility question

I noticed in the new v6 of Macrium the option to create a Linux boot is not longer there and the only available options are different flavors of WinPE depending what version Windows I'm running (Windows 7). When I created a WinPE 3.1 boot disk in Macrium 6 I notice it has to copy certain drivers from the system. My question is, is the boot disk created specific to that particular system or is it universally compatible with all versions of Macrium (assuming all my systems are running Windows 7)?

With V6 you need a new recovery CD. The earlier versions are not compatible.

Does that mean the previous images made in V5 will not work with a recovery CD made in V6?

No. they will work. The compatibility problem is only with the rescue CD and only with images created with V6.

I see, so a rescue CD made in V5 will not work with images made in V6?

Right - it should read: MAY not work. But no need to take chances.
