    Macrium Installation

    Hello Forum,
Recently downloaded "Macrium User Guide.pdf" and started studying, some info could not find, I am a little confused and much headache, so before starting the installation, I am going to ask you experts some (may be silly questions - don't laugh) questions:
    1. What media to make the rescue / boot disk - a CD or DVD, and while creating shell I be online or can
it be offline. (Have the PE 3.1 in zip file)
    2. Where to store the backup / image, on a disk (naturally other then the system) or on a DVD.
    3. Shell I make a restore point before installing Macrium, and what to do with older restore points, I usually
keep some and delete the older ones.
    4. Besides Macrium backups, shell I continue with the Windows maintenance making restore points.
Well, I think this is enough, and I'll wait for the answers.
    Much appreciated.
    Thanks

Hi -- No. 1 == I think it is a CD, but if that doesn't work, you will know it. Download the Macrium Program and then you can go offline or online and make the Rescue Disk. -- Be sure and boot your PC with the Rescue Disk just to make sure it works.

No. 2 == I purchased an external drive that I keep my Macrium Images on. Just keep them until your space fills up and then delete the older images as you add new ones.

No. 3 == You don't have to make one before install Macrium, but could if you want. Do not delete any Restore Points. Windows 7 will delete them as the space wills up.

No. 4 == Yes you need the Restore Points and your Macrium Images. They are not the same.

    Hi,
I concur it's a lot easier than it reads :)

All you need to know is here,
    Imaging with free Macrium

Although the restoring the C drive and 100mb system reserved partition is a tad different
